Hannah Villasis a.k.a. Flaircandy is one of the few bloggers who appeared in a number of campaigns in mainstream media for products such as Pantene, Vaseline, Buyanihan, Listerine, Neutrogena among others. Aside from that, she was featured in a number of magazines and newspaper features. She is a CPA turned sexy full-time blogger but to me, she is Hannah Banana…. tralala ๐
Hannah may not look it, but this girl is one of the fastest drivers I’ve met LOL. She drives fast, but responsibly. I feel safe whenever she’s in control of the steering wheel. She even saved the Bloggers’ group in one undisclosed event in racing haha ๐ She is also a pole dancer and loves to surf! I am still hoping that our surfing trip will push through soon.
Meanwhile, let me share this kulit interview with Hannah Banana Tralala ๐ She’s going back to the workplace soon (huhu lol i kid!), but I am still looking forward to more trips with her. May weekend at holidays naman, ‘diba? Read Read Read! ๐
When was our first out of town trip together? Describe it.
Hannah:รย Our first out of town is not really out of town but out of the country because we are awesome like that! Haha ๐
Mica: Singapore it is for the First Nuffnang Blog Awards in 2009! Bongga!
What are the Top 3 Destinations we’ve been to together that you consider the most memorable? Discuss why ๐
Hannah: Singapore, Dagupan and Bacolod.
Singapore -The Nyok group was almost complete!รย It was a free trip – kinda ๐ And you know what they say – รย the best things in life are free!
รย Dagupan – How can I forget!รย Sharing what I know about the net is something priceless for me.รย If at least one out of the 300 students had his or her life change with what we shared, I’m happeh!รย Kung wala, meh keribels haha at least they know what the net can do for them.. Not the fishing net but the world wide web lol. It was the place, the food and the people and the meaningful experience I had… I love the take-home pasalubong na puto and bangus!รย Would definitely go back for that.
Finally our Bacolod trip!รย I’m happy you got to visit my hometown!รย If it wasn’t you ang kasama ko sa Bacolod, hindi ako matutuloy kse manonood ako ng show ng Polecats!รย Pero naman siyempre, we’ve been planning for so long to go to Bacolod.
I made the right decision of course, else I would miss seeing Eric strutting her stuff on the road!รย Bacolod was a blast!รย I was also surprised that a lot of travel bloggers went all the way to cover the Masskara Festival. I couldn’t have been more proud of my hometown!
Masskara Festival is a celebration of life – that no matter what economic crisis or downfall the town would experience, we rise up and help each other… kinda like the life i’m trying to live now..
Be happy!
Mica: Enjoyed all of these trips too! When I think of Singapore, I remember your love for racing and being with the Nyok group in a foreign country is priceless. Yeah, I miss the rest as well *wipes tears LOL*. I’m really thankful for saying yes to that Dagupan City trip! The memorable part there is you drove for me and lolo and we find it really sweet ๐ Hindi ako sanay na nasa backseat si lolo and he’s not used to the fact na iba ang in control sa manibela. Apo ka na rin daw nila hehe and yep, that short but sweet Bacolod trip! First time to hear you speak in Ilonggo THAT FAST and i find it fascinating hihi. Manokan Country ftw!
What’s the worst event that happened in any of your travels? How did you manage to surpass that challenge?
I thought traveling alone would be fun.รย Well it is.. but if you’re a girl, it’s extra scary!รย I traveled alone for the very first time to Malaysia – and it was so obvious that I was a tourist. A taxi driver asked me too many personal questions I just wanted to get out of the car but I couldn’t because we were on the freeway to the airport.
I was able to surpass it by just being calm and aware of my surroundings.รย I had my phone ready to speed dial a friend in case the cab driver tries anything stupid!
Mica: It pays to be alert when travelling. Super late ang flights to KL basta budget airline ๐
Describe me as a travel buddy.
Hannah: Keribels, Gorabels, Tarabels! Very easy to travel with. Hindi maarte like me!รย And I love that you always make the most out of any situation kahit na bad pa yon. Positive vibes like reggae ๐
Mica: Baklang-bakla ang sagot ni Ateh! ๐ Thank you rin for being a nice travel buddy. Must bring more Bob Marley songs on our next trip! ๐
What are the three things you can never live without when you’re on a trip?
- Cellphone with GPS for maps!!!
- Money – duh, pano ako kakain kung walang money? haha
- Camera! to capture the moment
Yes, I can travel without my laptop as long as I have my smartphone.
Name three of the best hotel/resort accommodations.
Hannah:
Flower Island in Palawan – The best experience!รย Stay in a private island in Palawan and you get toured to a Golden South Sea Pearl Farm and Save Palawan Seas Foundation.รย We also did yoga and QiGong.รย We talked to the locals who tried to preserve Palawan seas from abuse like kaingin, cyanide fishing, and others.รย It’s very far away from the city and you will be forced to enjoy nature and relax ๐
Disneyland Hotel in Hong Kong – What can I say, it’s so nice to feel like a child again… correction – it’s so nice to feel like a princess!!!
Fort Ilocandia in Ilocos Norteรย – They have everything! Casino, golf, ATV track, pool, great ilocano food, a wonderful garden, carabao that you can ride on and of course the wonderful beach!รย The rooms are very big, I swear I can dance around – pwede tumambling!
Mica:รย I envy you! 0_0 Gusto ko rin mapuntahan ‘yang tatlong ‘yan! Take me there, Hannah! ๐
Three of your favorite restaurants
- Papa John’s pizza – I love pizza and I found the best Pizza place for me! I love the garlic butter dip! yum yum!
- I forgot the name of the restaurant but it’s that place in Dampa! I love seafood and I could eat like a hungry horse when I’m here!
- รย Bob’s Restaurant in Bacolod.รย Their steaks are good but affordable!!!รย They also have grilled stuff that are awesome too.รย They also have pastries and a coffee shop that sells frappes for only P50 – P65 pesos and honestly to me, they taste better than SB!
Any funny stories that you want to reveal that happened in one of your trips?
Hannah: I was traveling alone in Malaysia and I was just hanging out at KLCC park to chill before I head off to the airport.รย A Russian guy sat beside me and talked to me.รย He was okay looking (face wise) but he has a relatively buff body.รย I wanted to get to know him too coz I’m curious! I’ve never really talked with any Russian guy or girl
I am not sure if it’s just the language barrier (he can’t speak English well) but he was the most vain person in the world!!!
He was like “take photo of me with the tower”รย I was like “sure sure”
Then he would pose like a model (yong mga awkward poses) kaloka ako ang nahiya taking his photo!!
And then he would look at my shots and “No, I look ugly in this pose one more time”
NALOKA AKO TEEH!!!! mga 20 shots siguro in one angle before he liked the photo!
Mica: Alam na, TEH! Isa ring teh si teh…. teh! Nyahaha =))
Did we have any misunderstandings while we’re on the road? Hahaha ๐
Hannah: Parang wala naman so far. Baka in the future hahaha, but I’m sure we’ll be fine kase madali lang naman tayo dalawa kausap.
Mica: Kunsabagay hihihi
Do you have any ‘holiday romance’ story to share?
Hannah: It’s actually that time where I was traveling with other bloggers in La Union to surf ๐
I met a guy there and found out we had so many things in common ๐ We became really good friends because we worked on a lot of projects together that eventually, he took me out on a formal date, by the beach – and la la la <3 he’s my current bf jeng jeng jeng!
Mica: Let’s pretend I don’t know his name with the initials VG and he is a Radio DJ and Host. Is he a blogger too? Wait, the La Union is our first out of town trip! *remembers the Luke Landrigan incident LOL*
Our most memorable trip together. Describe why.
Hannah: Singapore came to mind, but I think the most memorable trip so far is Dagupan!!!รย What we did there is more meaningful, everything was a breeze the best part of the trip was (aside from eating a lot) meeting the people of Dagupan ^_^
Mica: Same here ๐ The Dagupan Trip is truly rewarding! Also, the pole dance attempt while on Dawel River Cruise LOL ๐
Where are you planning to go next?
I’m planning to go back to Malaysia and Hong Kong when it’s cold.รย I love that city, I keep coming back there.
I am saving up for my Europe trip… It might take me 3 years to save up for it – but after watching Monte Carlo and many episodes of Gossip Girl and their travel to paris – I just died of envy!
I read on a magazine that I need to save at least P150,000 for a trip to Paris… I’m saving more so that I can travel in other places as well… or maybe time to befriend locals there! Or just beg my cousin to adopt me for a few days! Right Mica? Palibhasa naka-Paris ka na!รย Pero it’s not bad naman to dream of going there with you diba?
Mica: My Malaysia trip this year is bitin and i would like to visit Penang and Langkawi on my next trip there. Hongkong was the first country I’ve been to in 1994 and I want to go back there most preferably with you! ๐
Oooops, haven’t been to Paris pa! I would love to go though that’s why I’ll make sure that I’ll apply for a Schengen visa on my next UK Trip so I can just take a train trip from London to Paris. Go with me next year and let’s ask Kuya Jojo, a friend of my mom who turned out to be your cousin! Small world talaga hehe pa-sponsor na!
Message to the readers of my blog… message to me rin :
Dear readers of Micamyx / Senyorita… I know you have learned a lot of things from my dear friend Mica so far.รย What I love about her is that she’s unpretentious, she’s real and she’s a darling good friend. She is an example of what a TRUE friend is…
Kita naman sa mga blog posts niya, she’s not afraid to share emotions, even if they are kinda heavy – she keeps it light by joking about it.รย After all, life is not all about what the world is throwing at you, it’s how you deal with them…
Remember, the person who says he can and the person who says he can’t are both right – which one are you?
Chos!
Mica: Haha iiyak na sana ako eh LOL. ๐ Thanks Hannah dear for being as crazy as I am. Thanks for being a lakwatsera and matakaw too. Thanks for watching Filipino movies and chickflicks with me and yeah, for tagging me in some concerts and events! Looking forward to that big European Trip with you…. Totohanin na natin! ๐
