JT’s Manukan Grille in Tagaytay City – Bacolod Inasal Gid Ya!

I Miss Bacolod. My first and only trip to Philippines’ City of Smiles was quick. We only went there to cover the energetic Masskara Festival 2011 Dance Competition, but I didn’t let the opportunity to taste the authentic chicken inasal in Manokan Country pass. I know that the country is now invaded by a certain chicken inasal fastfood chain and I used to eat there too, but the taste is just far from the original one.

A few years ago, I read a feature on Filipino Celebrities who ventured into business and Joel Torre is one of them. I’ve passed by the branch of JT’s Manukan Grille in Granada, but never really had the chance to sit and eat there. Raves about JT’s Manukan Grille from Bacolodnons themselves is just a bit of confirmation that Joel Torre did a good job with his food business venture.

Right after our Pico de Loro trip, the group went to JT’s Manukan Grille in Tagaytay City. If I’m not mistaken, this branch is just a few months old! The cozy weather and my hungry stomach made me more excited to eat and relax a bit.

The chillout song played on a loudspeaker outside JT’s Manukan Grille in Tagaytay City is a perfect way to invite customers to go there to eat… and dance LOL.

As I imagined it to be, there were numerous posters of Joel Torre films inside. He is one of the most respected and truly talented Filipino actors who can do mainstream and indie in just a snap.

Nood tayo mga Flip dito sa JT's!

I think it is a nice idea to organize a Joel Torre movie marathon in this branch since I want to see Mumbaki and Flip!

We left JT’s Manukan Grille (and Tagaytay for that matter) with a full stomach. Just earlier, I craved for Chicken Inasal and Kansi that’s why I called JT’s Manukan Grille Delivery Hotline and they arrived just in time! I’ll post the delivery hotlines per branch soon! πŸ˜€

Nyahaha! The poster of Joel Torre is not from a movie called Flip. It is in fact on of the covers of a defunct magazine which only had around 8 issues and of which Jessica Zafra was the editor-in-chief of. It’s demise was hugely blamed on the fact that it concentrated on topics that were either nerdy, rockstar cool or intellectual. In marketing that pretty much means suicide hehe! Jessica Zafra has a huge crush on Joel Torre hence the cover πŸ˜€
