During my Cebu trip last July, I discovered another foodie place that fits the budget. For the longest time, I’ve always associated ‘Pochero’ with the Abuhan chain. When my friend Rabsin promised to pick me up to have lunch in a new place to satisfy my Pochero cravings on a limited budget, I said Yes right away!
I forgot why he failed to show up (probably he’s asleep again LOL). I didn’t worry much since my dear friend Lakbay Diva was online that morning and he said that he knows where the Pochero place is.
“What’s the name of the Pochero place?” I asked.
“Uhm, I dunno. Just tell the cab driver to bring you to the pochero place at the back of Sarrosa Hotel” He replied.
So I did as instructed. I asked the cab driver to drop me off the Pochero place at the back of Sarrosa Hotel. He said he knows the place. When I asked if he knows the name of the place, he simply replied with ‘Pocherohan’. Hehe. Toinks.
It is not difficult to locate the place during lunch time since vehicles of different types are parked infront of it. Wow, must be an in-demand place for hungry students/workers/travelers. Hmmm…
Lakbay Diva ordered Pochero, Sizzling Squid and Lechon Kawali ‘turo-turo’ style. You know, point-point what you want to order. Chos =))
After ordering, we were ushered to the eating place. I am surprised on the number of people enjoying their lunch. Some are even in their corporate outfits! The ambiance is just simple and very Filipino that’s why I love it. I didn’t take a photo because I am shy. Teehee. The other customers might get mad at me as I capture their lafang moment.
Ekits Foodhaus has its own charm. It’s like a place where people from different walks of life can eat without spending too much. Giant umbrellas serve as our shed from the sun or the rain.
I also learned that ‘Pajero’ is another name for ‘Pochero’. Pabili nga ng isang Pajero! ๐
And Coke is also called as ‘Truck’. Why? I don’t really know. Pabili nga ng isang dosenang truck! ๐
I ordered ordinary white rice while Lakbay Diva had corn rice. Two cups each. Woot. Time to catch up with a friend and at the same time eat a lot of food. #extraricemode
Have you been to Ekits Foodhaus in Cebu City? I will add Ekits Foodhaus to my Where to Eat in Cebu City post. Ciao!
lol at point point wahahahaha
lafang na lafang ka talaga dun, ang sarap eh!
I don’t think I ever went there because if I had I would certainly remember dishes like that!
